誰もが、自らの人生を形づくる「原動力」を持っています。それは、毎朝私たちをベッドから起こす力であり、時に夜眠れなくなる理由でもあります。この原動力は、衣食住といった基本的な欲求の充足から、生涯をかけた夢の追求まで、人それぞれに異なります。

本展覧では、高齢者の眼差しの中に宿る「輝きの源」を写し取ることを目指しています。以前、Kairosとの展示において、私が撮影・紹介した高齢者たちの間には明確なコントラストがあることに気づきました。強い目的意識を持つ人々は、より健康的で、生き生きとした精神状態を保っているように感じられたのです。

Each of us has a driving force that shapes our lives—whether it’s the motivation to rise each morning or the reason keeping you up at night. This drive can range from fulfilling basic needs to pursuing lifelong dreams, it varies from person to person.

This exhibition seeks to present the source of motivation that brings a sparkle to the eyes of the elderly. In my previous exhibit with Kairos, I observed a distinct contrast among the elderly subjects I presented. Those with a strong sense of purpose often exhibited better health and a brighter spirit.
